WHY KARO HOME?
Low income families who come to Mumbai for cancer treatment often exhaust their resources on medical bills and are unable to afford accommodation. They are forced to live on the streets or in hospital corridors and some even abandon their treatment. To address this, KARO Home Sion, an accommodation home for female cancer bravehearts, was established in 2019 and has already provided a home to over 250 families.
We’re thrilled to unveil a brand new KARO Home in Kurla, catering specifically to teenage and young adult male cancer bravehearts. With 21 beds, a fully functional kitchen supported by ration assistance, financial aid for transportation and recreational spaces, KARO HOME strives to offer not just shelter but a holistic environment for healing.
